Father's Day is right around the corner and as with most special occasions books are my go-to gift. What is more meaningful than the opportunity for quality time reading with your kids? You Made Me a Dad by Laurenne Sala and illustrated by Mike Malbrough is the sweetest story about the love between a father and a child.
One of my favorite things about You Made Me a Dad is that it about an interracial couple and their mixed race child. It is so important, now more than ever, that every child can feel represented in the books they read and that all children have windows into lives of families different than their own.
